Niklas Barkroth hopes to earn a new deal with IFK Goteborg despite being linked with a move to Feyenoord.
Feyenoord are understood to be interested in Barkroth and his highly-rated Goteborg team-mate Mattias Bjarsmyr.
16-year-old midfielder Barkroth, the youngest player to appear in the Swedish top flight, is tipped for a bright future.
He has trained with Manchester United in the past but is not paying attention to the rumours regarding Feyenoord, insisting that he is focused on playing well for Goteborg.
"My goal this season is to get a contract with IFK Goteborg." Barkroth told Eurosport.se.
"Then, I hope to get to play as much possible."
