Janssen: License confiscated
Twente midfielder Theo Janssen has suffered minor injuries after being involved in a car accident.
The Holland international was on the roads shortly after helping Steve McClaren's men to see off Vitesse Arnhem 1-0 on Saturday evening.
That victory helped Twente to maintain their lead at the top of the Eredivisie table.
However, the win has been marred by the news of Janssen's crash.
The 28-year-old is reported, by NOS-TV, to have broken his nose and sustained several cuts as a result of the accident.
Three other passengers who were in the car at the time have also been injured, but no details have been released as to their condition.
A police report has indicated that Janssen's driving license has been provisionally confiscated as he was found to be under the influence of alcohol.
