Tanaka: Set to move abroad
FC Twente have sent a delegation to Japan to open talks with Urawa Reds
defender Marcus Tulio Tanaka.
The Japanese international is out of contract next month and looks set to move abroad after more than eight years in the J. League.
Fellow Dutch side Feyenoord and Premier League outfit Wigan are also thought to be interested in the 28-year-old but Twente boss Steve McClaren has moved quickest to try and snap up Tanaka.
Tanaka, who scored a hat-trick last season against Tokyo Verdy, can also play in midfield and will be a useful acquisition for the Eredivisie side.
Born in Sao Paulo, Tanaka has been a regular for Urawa Reds this term making 29 appearances and scoring four goals.
