Ari: Not happy
AZ Alkmaar striker Ari claims he has been approached by an unnamed Turkish club and could consider leaving the Eredivisie champions in January.
The Brazilian is struggling to earn a regular place in the plans of Ronald Koeman, who succeeded Louis van Gaal in the summer after last season's title-winning season.
AZ are struggling in the defence of their league crown, sitting sixth in the table and 16 points behind leaders FC Twente, and Ari is not happy to be warming the bench.
The 23-year-old, who was linked with Wolfsburg in the summer, has revealed that he has been contacted by an anonymous team from Turkey and is thinking about his future ahead of the winter transfer window.
"I don't want to stay at AZ if my current situation doesn't change. I've been approached by a club from Turkey and we're in talks," Ari was quoted as saying by Swedish newspaper Barometern.
"It's too bad that the Turkish competition isn't as well known as the Dutch Eredivisie. However, the important thing for me is to get regular first-team football again."
Ari joined AZ from Swedish outfit Kalmar in the summer of 2007 and scored 18 goals in 49 league appearances in his first two seasons, but he has featured on only three occasions this campaign.
