AZ Alkmaar thumped Breda 6-0 to set up a KNVB Cup final meeting against holders Ajax.

Louis van Gaal's team were in superb form in Thursday's semi-final and did not look back after opening the scoring through Simon Cziommer four minutes before half-time.

Shota Arveladze doubled his team's lead from the penalty spot six minutes after the interval before Cziommer added his second goal of the game seven minutes later.

Maarten Martens (60 and 63) then claimed a quick-fire brace for himself in a one-sided clash to which NAC had no reply.

Gretar Steinsson's 82nd minute goal put the seal on an emphatic win for Alkmaar.
