Excelsior have been dealt a blow as promising striker Andwele Slory has been ruled out for six weeks with a leg injury.

The striker has impressed in the early weeks of the season, but he limped out of the recent meeting with Groningen and tests have confirmed he has torn a muscle in his leg.

It is not all bad news for Slory, as his efforts during the first couple of months of the season prompted Feyenoord to confirm they will use their option to sign the youngster in the summer.

Feyenoord also have eyes on Slory's team-mate Luigi Bruins, but they have yet to comment on reports that they will sign the midfielder in the summer.
