Drenthe: Wants Real move
Royston Drenthe's agent has called on Feyenoord to lower the asking price after Real Madrid backed out of a move.
The Holland Under 21 international has been a target for the Spanish champions, along with fierce rivals Barcelona, and Chelsea.
But Real have now reportedly ditched plans to sign the left-sided midfielder due to Feyenoord demanding 17million euros (£11.5million).
Real have offered 12.5m (£8.4m) for Drenthe, but are reluctant to increase their bid, leaving the player's agent Sigi Lens to express his unhappiness with Feyenoord.
"Feyenoord are asking for an amount like Dirk Kuyt and Wesley Sneijder, who have been senior internationals for years," Lens told De Telegraaf.
"Is that normal? What will he be worth next year? 25m? 75m?
"What surprises me is that all the top European clubs have reached an agreement with Real Madrid, so why not Feyenoord?"
Lens acknowledged that Drenthe's priority is to move to the Bernabeu, with Real coach Bernd Schuster desperate to sign a left-sided player.
"Every player has got a dream," added Lens.
"If a club likes Real comes by, then you don't say no.
"Feyenoord have to realise that."
