Ajax moved back to within four points of second placed PSV Eindhoven in the Eredivisie after a convincing 5-1 at Vitesse Arnhem.

Ajax had to come from behind at the Gelredome as Dalibor Stevanovic put Vitesse ahead.

But Ajax hit back hard with Marko Pantelic helping himself to a hat-trick, before Kennedy Bakircioglu and Ismail Aissati completed the scoring.

Ajax are now back into third - but still some six points adrift of leaders FC Twente.

Feyenoord are fourth after they claimed a 2-0 win at third from bottom ADO Den Haag.

A goal in each half from Ron Vlaar and Andwele Slory sealed the win for the Rotterdam giants.

Utrecht are in sixth after they sealed a 3-1 win over NAC Breda.

After a goalless first half at Stadion Galgenwaard, Utrecht went ahead through Kevin Vandenbergh on 55 minutes and just moments later Gianluca Nijholt pounced to double their lead.

Matthew Amoah pulled one back for NAC, but Jacob Mulenga sealed the win late on.

A last-minute penalty helped FC Gronginen to a 2-2 draw at home to NEC Nijmegen.

Groningen had gone ahead through Tim Matavz, but NEC looked to have won it thanks to goals from Bjoern Vleminckx and Youssef El-Akchaoui.

But the home side struck in the final minute through Nicklas Pedersen to seal a share of the spoils.
