Celtic will be without Italian midfielder Massimo Donati for next week's UEFA Champions League trip to Aalborg BK.
The 27-year-old former AC Milan man broke a toe in training and will now have to endure a spell on the sidelines.
Celtic have yet to confirm how long Donati might be unable to manager Gordon Strachan, but his absence next week is sure to be felt.
Donati has played in all four of the Bhoys' Champions League matches this season after coming off the bench in their 1-1 home draw against Manchester United.
The no-nonsense midfielder will not travel with the Celtic squad to Denmark while manager Gordon Strachan is sweating over the fitness of Paul Hartley (ankle) and Barry Robson (groin).
The SPL champions will find themselves out of Europe's leading club competition should they fail to beat Aalborg next week, a game that can be seen live on Sky Sports 2 and HD2.
