Dynamo Kiev coach Valery Gazzayev was disappointed after his side were held to a goalless stalemate at Rubin Kazan, whose boss Kurban Berdyev thought the draw was a fair result.

While the Ukrainians had more chances in the game, the best opportunity fell to Kazan's Alejandro Dominguez on the stroke of half-time, but Dynamo keeper Oleksandr Shovkovskiy made a fantastic stop to save his scissor kick from 12 yards.

The result means there is still everything to play for in both sides' final UEFA Champions League Group F games on 9th December when Kazan travel to Inter, while Dynamo host reigning European champions Barcelona.

Tough game

Rubin coach Berdyev told Russian television NTV: "It was a tough game but I think the draw was a fair result.

"It still gives both teams a chance to qualify.

"We were a bit tight tonight with so much at stake, but we must be more aggressive in our last match against Inter."

But Dynamo's Russian coach Gazzayev rued missed chances.

"I think we deserved to win so I feel very disappointed."
