Everton manager David Moyes is looking forward to facing Sporting Lisbon in the next round of the Europa League.

The Toffees' last trip to the Portuguese capital ended in disaster as an under-strength side were thrashed 5-0 by Benfica in October.

But Moyes is confident his team can put on a better showing against Sporting in February and has welcomed the chance to right the wrongs of the Benfica defeat.

"I'm looking forward to it, back to Lisbon again," he said.

"Last time we went there was disappointing but this time we will hopefully go there with a full team and be able to put on a better show.

"Sporting will be really tough, they have been in and around the Champions League in recent seasons."

Everton had already qualified for the last 32 before their final Group I match against BATE Borisov on Thursday.

A young Toffees side went down 1-0 against the Belarusian outfit but Moyes is now eyeing a prolonged run in the tournament.

"You can only win it if you are in it," he added.

"The first job we had to do was try to get through and now the next job is to try to beat Sporting Lisbon when that comes round in February."
