Manchester City face Italian giants Juventus in the Europa League group stage, while Liverpool tackle Napoli.

Big-spending City have been drawn in Group A alongside Juventus, Austrian outfit Red Bull Salzburg and Polish side Lech Poznan.

Liverpool, who reached the semi-finals last season, take on Napoli, Steaua Bucharest and Celtic's conquerors FC Utrecht in Group K.

Europa League holders Atletico Madrid will take on Bayer Leverkusen, Norwegian champions Rosenborg and Greek side Aris in Group B.

Aston Villa, Celtic, Dundee United, Motherwell and Welsh side The New Saints all crashed out at the play-off stage on Thursday.

The group stage begins on 16th September with the top two teams from each group going through to the last 32 - where they will be joined by the eight third-placed finishers in the Champions League group stage.
