Van Basten: Squad nearly done
Dutch coach Marco van Basten has moved closer to his final Euro 2008 squad after cutting four players from his preliminary squad.
Urby Emanuelson, Kew Jaliens, Hedwiges Maduro and Danny Koevermans have all been informed they will not be required for the summer tournament.
Clarence Seedorf has ruled himself out which would have left just 25 - but van Basten has now added fit-again defender Khalid Boulahrouz.
With four keepers involved, van Basten will be left with the decision to axe just two more out-field players to finalise his selection.
Van Basten must announce his final squad by May 28.
