Sweden striker Henrik Larsson did not have to think twice about making a return to international football.

The Helsingborgs striker quit the Sweden set-up after the 2006 World Cup, but he has been included in the 23-man squad for this summer's Euro 2008 finals.

And, having been tempted out of international retirement by coach Lars Lagerback, the former Celtic, Barcelona and Manchester United forward is optimistic Sweden can impress in Austria and Switzerland.

"Once I got the question it wasn't that hard," Larsson told Sky Sports News when asked about his return from international retirement.

Ljungberg backing

"I was very happy to get the question. Hopefully we can do well and that is what I am looking forward to."

Larsson's Sweden captain Fredrik Ljungberg has also welcomed his compatriot's return.

"It is great," added Ljungberg. "He has a lot of experience for the national team and has played a lot in Europe, so everyone is happy."

Sweden have been drawn in Group D in the finals and kick-off their campaign against Greece on 10th June before taking on Spain and Russia.
