Ferreira: Not worried about Ronaldo
Paulo Ferreira is convinced Cristiano Ronaldo remains entirely focused on the European Championship, despite continued speculation over his domestic future.
Real Madrid have expressed a desire to take the Manchester United wide man to the Spanish capital and Ronaldo has remained tight-lipped on his future as speculation mounts.
It has been suggested that the player has had his head turned ahead of Austria and Switzerland but Chelsea defender Ferreira believes his team-mate has not been overly affected.
"Cristiano Ronaldo is very strong (mentally) and he is concentrated on this (tournament)," Ferreira told a news conference.
"I think he has the right people working on the other things.
"He is now with us and, as I know him, he wants to have a good competition.
"He's a winner (and) I hope he shows the same form as with Manchester United."
Asked whether Portugal could still have a good tournament even if Ronaldo were not at his best, he said: "We feel we do. He's now the best player in the world, in my opinion, so it's normal that everyone should look to him.
"But he won't have a poor tournament."
