Budan: Needs knee surgery
Croatia have lost a second player to injury after Igor Budan was ruled out of the rest of Euro 2008.
Dario Knezevic's tournament had already come to a premature end after the defender suffered a knee injury in Monday's 1-0 win over Poland.
Now team-mate Budan will sit out the remainder of the competition after also picking up a knee problem.
Budan is due to undergo an operation and coach Slaven Bilic will assess the state of his squad, if Croatia overcome Turkey in the quarter-finals on Friday.
"He will undergo arthroscopic surgery in Italy and unfortunately he will not be able to help us for the remainder of the European Championship," said Bilic.
"We will consider calling up a replacement, but only after our quarter-final match with Turkey, should we progress to the semi-finals."
Parma forward Budan appeared as a substitute in Croatia's opening game of Euro 2008 against Austria, but has been left on the bench for the past two matches.
