Lehmann delaying decision
Germany international Jens Lehmann says he is in no rush to confirm whether Euro 2008 will be the last time he plays for his country.
The 38-year-old custodian has been Germany's No.1 after finally displacing Oliver Kahn following a long-running battle prior to the start of the 2006 World Cup finals.
Lehmann will start in goal for Wednesday's crucial Euro 2008 semi-final against Turkey in what is the most important match of the veteran shot-stopper's career.
However, should Germany reach Sunday's final in Austria and Switzerland, Lehmann is in no rush to confirm his plans, despite Franz Beckenbauer urging him to step aside to allow the younger generation to emerge.
"I am focussing on Wednesday's match," stated Lehmann.
"Afterwards if we get to Sunday's final, I don't believe that I am going to announce what I am going to do just after it.
"There is no pressure on me to do so."
Meanwhile, Lehmann has stated he is willing to make the ultimate sacrifice in order for Germany to see off Turkey on Wednesday.
"I do not want to be knocked out again in the semi-final. As a player, I cannot promise victory," added Lehmann.
"I am ready to give everything against Turkey, even my life."
