Ljungberg: Sweden exit
Sweden coach Lars Lagerback is confident that he can replace Freddie Ljungberg, Marcus Allback and Niclas Alexandersson.
Captain Ljungberg, striker Allback and utility player Alexandersson all announced their retirement from international football after the disappointment of Euro 2008.
Sweden crashed out at the group stage after victory over Greece was followed by defeats at the hands of Spain and Russia.
Lagerback told the Swedish FA website: "It is always sad when good players decide to stop, but that is a part of the football.
"They will be missed in the national team. At the same time, we are convinced that other players are ready to step in their place."
