Just when we thought it was all over bar the shouting, up popped Ravi Bopara to prove that there is still something to play for in the SKY Sports Sixes League.
His 54-ball century at Derby included seven hits over the boundary to move him up to second place, but still ten maximums behind long-time leader Graham Napier.
A new name among the leaders is Tyron Henderson of Middlesex. Perhaps better known as the leading wicket-taker in all Twenty20 cricket (he has 73), he lit up the Rose Bowl as he smashed seven sixes in his unbeaten innings of 59 from just 22 balls in the second semi-final to send Middlesex on their way to their first major trophy since 1993.
Not to be outdone, team-mate Owais Shah hit five sixes of his own in the final against Kent, to move into third place in the July standings.
There is definitely a southern feel to the table as the most northerly of the season's leading hitters is David Sales who plies his trade in Northamptonshire.
