Tevez: Red carded
Carlos Tevez was sent-off as Argentina suffered their first defeat of the World Cup qualifying campaign as Colombia came from a goal down to record a 2-1 victory.
Manchester United ace Tevez was dismissed on 24 minutes after a clash with Colombia defender Ruben Bustos.
Despite their numerical disadvantage Argentina broke the deadlock ten minutes later with Lionel Messi netting with a superb solo goal.
Ruben Dario Bustos drew Colombia level just past the hour mark with a brilliant free-kick and the home side grabbed the winner eight minutes from time as Dairo Moreno converted Freddy Grisales's cross.
Venezuela got the better of Bolivia 5-3 after an eight-goal thriller in San Cristobal.
Marcelo Martins opened the scoring for Bolivia on 19 minutes, but the lead proved short-lived as Daniel Arismendi drew Venezuela level a minute later.
Juan Carlos Arce restored Bolivia's lead on 27 minutes only for Arismendi to equalise right on the stroke of half-time with his second of the contest.
Martins fired Bolivia in front for the third time on 78 minutes, but Alejandro Guerra popped up to level matters seven minutes from time.
Bolivia suffered a problem when goalkeeper Carlos Arias. Arias appeared to suffer an injury, but with his team having made three substitutions, he carried on even though he could barely walk.
In the 89th minute, Giancarlo Maldonado latched on to a chipped ball forward and headed the ball over Arias, who was slow off his line.
Arias then went off and was replaced in goal by left back Luis Gutierrez, who was caught off his line as Maldonado scored with a long-range lob in the dying seconds.
