Robinho feels his decision to return to Brazil has been justified and is hoping to earn a permanent switch.

The Samba star headed back to his roots in January, securing a loan move from Manchester City.

He joined Santos in order to find regular first-team football and give himself the best possible opportunity of making Brazil's World Cup squad.

Robinho has shone back in his homeland and has been included in Dunga's plans ahead of this summer's showpiece in South Africa.

A return to form and international recognition have convinced the talented playmaker that he made the right choice and he is now keen to remain with Santos for the foreseeable future.

"It was a great decision," Robinho said.

"What I wanted was to go to Brazil to prepare and be ready for the World Cup.

"I'm not sure what to expect of my future yet but I hope to stay with Santos."

Robinho feels he has been harshly treated during his two years at Eastlands, despite being unable to hit top gear.

He believes he has been denied the opportunity to settle into Premier League life and claims he is a better player than that seen in England.

"I didn't even play that bad, I just didn't get the run (in the side) that I wanted," he added.

"Football in England is about strength; it's difficult for a Brazilian player to adapt to that."
