tottenham need an intelligent, experienced centre mid, who can slow down the play and retain possesion, davids was this player a couple of years ago. poulsen looked a good bet, carrick was the perfect player we needed. comolli and levy are ruining us

Sam Fraser - Welcome to Chelsea's world. This has been happening for years. Even Utd will be able to tell you that. As soon as there is a sniff that a team with cash is on the scout additional numbers are added - look at the price for Robinho.

I think it is unbelievable how many posts are "i wish wish wish a billionair buys our club" United and the glazer episode has proved that important thing isn't having the richest owner but the best manager. Liverpool will never win the league with Rafa in charge and Newcastle will never win the league or anything for that matter with King?? Kevin Keagan in charge, it is the fans that have made the job so unattractive that the best manager willing to do the job is Joe Kinnear. Who buy the way is still a better choice than Keegan!!!!

So Levy and Comoli are both denying that Ramos' job is not under threat. Well... it bloody should be! Don't just look at what's happened in ten games this season... take a look at his record since taking over the club a year ago. The win ratio isn't great. Then take a look at the win ratio since the Carling Cup success. It's non-existant! No-one at Spurs wanted Jol to go other than Levy, Comoli and Berbatov, but us on the terraces were fully behind Big Mart. Can anyone really tell me that we wouldn't have finished 11th in the Premiership and won the Carling Cup with Jol in charge. Ramos came in and the only thing that changed was Tom Huddlestone's weight!

I was on a low cost flight very recently with none other than the man of the moment - Juande Ramos. He was over to Madrid on business but why was he travelling on the cheap? Has he been fired, needs to watch the pennies and was going home? Or was he trying to go unnoticed for an interview with Real Madrid given the current ego battle between the Directors and the Manager or was he just after Diego Forlan? Watch this space........

Of course Geovanni deserves a deal at the KC Stadium! We were very short-sighted in not renewing his contract and letting him leave for free, he did well for us, scored an absolute belter against UTD and generally caused problems for opposition. Hull have done exceptionally well this year so far, I'd love them to finish top half it'd be a great advert for managers like Phil Brown who scour the markets for free transfers that will benefit the team- Geo was a great signing. Yes City can now have an unlimited pot of cash but with that we have inherited a serious problem- everyone will now inflate their price when they hear we're interested, causing prices to rocket and then we're back to the ridiculous situation where only a few teams can compete with (I'm loving the fact we're now the worlds richest team obviously but I was there when we were poor too- 0-0 vs Bournemouth was one that will live on!)

Andrew Johnson (Liverpool Fan), just wondering if you have watched any football in the past few years? The evaluation of your players was terrible, pennant is a substandard player and i am not surprised he doesnt get a get at liverpool, with the vision and touch of kuyt he proves pace isnt everything contrary to your beliefs. You also state that he is the only player who runs at defenders, id tend to disagree as Babel is magnificent at it and has been since he was at ajaxs youth system and you cant say he is inconsistent if you're pushing for pennant to get a start. Benayoun whilst i never thought he was good enough for liverpool he has proved critics wrong last season and this season, prompting even benitez not too seell him and we all know how fond he is of selling the players he bought a season before. And saying downing isnt good enough but then want gamst pederson who hasnt had a good season since 06/07, and he is 28 whereas downing is 23. Same as arteta with the injuries he isnt half the player he used to be. If you ask me as a neutral liverpool dont need to sign any1 to win the league i just think they need a better manager.

Come on.....as if Henry would go to Eastlands!!!! I can't see that he would go to City even if they offered him silly money. They will not break into the top 4 and he's pretty much gaurenteed champions league with barca every season AND a fat pay packet!!!

"Should Capello select a foreign-born player?" What, like Owen Hargreaves? If we can have a foreign manager, I don't see why we can't have foreign players. It can be like the cricket team - a kind of "world eleven".

I think its really funny how many people are expect Man City to break into the top 4 this season, and are labelling them the 'new Chelsea' Man City will be a massive club in a few years, but they will ned to do the same as Chelsea did when Roman took over, buy good players for far 2 much money (Duff, Mutu, Makelele, SWP etc) while they build a better reputation. Then they can get world class players, and challenge for honours. Remember, it took Chelsea 2 years to win the league, and they started off with a better squad than Man City have now

Of Course Ramos should be given more time. I'm sure Ramos will realise that he didn't handle the transfer market very brilliantly over the summer because hebrought too many players in at one go, and should have been more cautious. True that with Berbatov and Keane leaving, the task became particularly difficult to handle. But he guided them to success last season and should be given the benefit of continuing till the end of the season. Managers need time to implement their tactics. It takes time. Even Sir Alex Ferguson had a rough 4-year patch before success came his way. So Spurs should be patient.

If Tony (Mowbray) is going to mount a fresh bid for Oscar Trejo i would be delighted. I have been impressed by Valero since his switch to the Hawthorns, and what i saw of Trejo in our friendly against Mallorca. We need a bit more competition up front having only 3 first team strikers. I would like to see more of Luke Moore over the next few weeks, i had high hopes when we signed he but he's failing to impress at the moment mainly due to the lack of first team opportunitites and after a poor display and judgement by Ishmael Miller over the weekend i think Tony should be giving him the nod! 4-4-2 against Fulham with Bednar and Moore up front! Ill take this oppurtunity to sing the praises of our new defensive trio Zuiverloon who kept Young quiet against Villa and Downing against Boro (No Small Feit) and Donk and Ollsson who have both impressed in the central of Defence! Tony has the eye for talent and hopefully Trejo will be another Tonys good transfer moves. Boing Boing!

QPR are apparently set to swoop to sign Crystal Palace ace midfielder, Ben Watson in the January transfer window. I personally think this would be a good signing for QPR as we need a bit more talent in the centre of midfield with the likes of Akos Buzsaky and Martin Rowlands. You R'ss!

Just been reading the comments about Chelsea and Man City. Yes, Man City have the money to be on the same level as the top 4, but it's who they bring in, already a host of top players linked with City have ruled out moves. Robinho was a mug, he was in it for the money, and didn't even know where he was going. It appears Arsene Wenger is correct in saying money is killing football.
