Quincy Owusu-Abeyie has left Portsmouth and signed for Qatari club Al Sadd.

The 23-year-old forward was on loan at Fratton Park until the end of the season from Spartak Moscow.

Last week Spartak asked Portsmouth to allow Owusu-Abeyie to terminate his deal, and they have now agreed to this.

The player has now made his way to Doha and penned a contract after Al Sadd agreed a fee believed to be £4million for the player.

"I'm happy with the good reception from the administration and fans of Al

Sadd," Quincy told the club's official website.

"I have a good feeling and this will give me a big push to have good performances with the team.

"I came to Qatar in order to give all what I have to Al Sadd and help them to win a lot of matches and titles as well.

"I will enjoy playing with Al Sadd because they are one of the best teams in the region."

It is reported that Portsmouth picked up around £250,000 for allowing the deal to go through.
