O'Neill: Possible Pereira interest
Braga have warned Aston Villa that they will only accept top price for highly-rated defender Joao Pereira.
Villa boss Martin O'Neill is reportedly lining up a move for the right-back as he looks to build a side capable of a top-six Premier League finish next season.
O'Neill's scouts are understood to have travelled to Portugal to watch Pereira, while Porto and Napoli are also rumoured to be admirers.
However, Braga president Antonio Salvador has told all potential suitors that the 23-year-old will not go for anything less than 5million euros (£3.9m).
"We do not want to sell," Salvador told Portuguese media.
"Pereira is a key man in our plans and only a big deal would make it possible for him to leave. The price in the market is 5million euros."
However, it appears Braga will find it difficult to hold on to Pereira after the former Portugal Under 21 international admitted that a move elsewhere could help to further his career.
"I am totally calm about my future," added Pereira.
"I am prepared for anything, but it is normal that I would like to progress like any player."
