Beckham: Set for historic 100
England manager Fabio Capello has confirmed that David Beckham will win his 100th international cap against France on Wednesday.
The former captain missed Capello's first match as coach against Switzerland last month due to concerns over the Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder's sharpness.
But he has been recalled for the friendly with France in Paris and is set to become the fifth player to reach a century of appearances for England.
Asked whether Beckham, 32, will start the game, Capello told Sky Sports News: "I've yet to decide, though I have made my decision.
"He will play (some part), I could not possibly make him come from the USA and not play him.
"I know David Beckham and what he can give me and I think he can make the difference in some respects. I know what he can give to a team.
"As for the future, we will have to see. Nobody knows what the future holds."
Capello added: "I think every player would like to reach this target (100 caps) but very few manage it so you have to give David Beckham credit, he has done really well to achieve this."
Sorry, we can not display forthcoming fixtures at this time.

To Ray Private!!!! Bobby Robson was not the manager who finished Gary Lineker's career, it was Graham Taylor. If you bothered to check your information before exposing us all to your views you would note that Sir Bobby was the best manager we have had since Sir Alf Ramsey and he has every right to give his view, and although we have all seen the highs and lows of David Beckham's career I think that hardly anybody can deny him this chance to end a wonderful tenure with England.

So presure from outside football has won the day! Fabio has no intention of using beckham after he gets his 100 cap and we all know it, I am sure he would rather have not played him at all. I hear Bobby Robson on the radio today claiming beckham deserved his 100 cap, correct me if I am wrong is this the same Robson who denigned Garry lineiker from get his 50 gaol for england? We all know Beckham has freinds in high places, pity his 100 cap won't be won on merit! But not surprised when a player who blatantly missed drug tests is made captain some example that is setting!
