Capello: To face investigation
England manager Fabio Capello will face a full investigation into whether he withheld information to an Italian court, judicial sources have said.
Capello testified in March at the corruption trial of the Gea World player agency, and after reviewing the transcripts of the evidence Rome prosecutors have confirmed that they will go ahead with the investigation.
However, the Italian coach's son and manager, Pierfilippo Capello, said: "We haven't heard or been informed of anything, but that's normal.
"There is nothing new from when we first heard about this two months ago. We'll take action and offer an explanation when it is necessary."
A Football Association spokesman added: "We have heard from Italy that the prosecutor in this case wants to further investigate Mr Capello. The key point for us is that this is a private matter and we have no comment to make."
