Bob Bradley is hoping his USA side can take another step forward in their friendly against England on Wednesday.

USA fared badly at last year's Copa America but they have shown some encouraging form in recent months, beating Sweden and Poland in their last two games against European nations.

They face Fabio Capello's England at Wembley this week and Bradley believes his team can provide a stern test.

"We're excited to be here playing against England at Wembley. It means a lot to all of us and the players are ready to put it all on the field," he said on Sky Sports News.

"Over the last year and a half we have been able to establish a pretty solid core of players. We had some good matches last year and in the early part of this year and this is a chance to test ourselves at a higher level.

Asked if USA could beat England, Bradley replied: "Absolutely. If you look at the teams we have played in recent history we have tested ourselves, and we treat these games as opportunities to gain respect.

"This is a chance for our players to step up and show where we are. We are pleased to have this chance to test ourselves against England.

"If we can come away with a victory it is another step forward. When you see games like the Champions League final you are excited when you have a chance to play on that sort of stage."

Bradley admits that he did expect England to qualify for Euro 2008, but he feels their future will be bright under Capello's management.

He said: "It is a surprise that England are free this summer. But it shows the overall strength of European football.

"But England are certainly one of the big powers. I expect with those players there will be good days ahead."

Bradley also paid tribute to Los Angeles Galaxy forward Landon Donovan, who is set to make his 100th appearance for USA.

He said: "It's amazing that at 26 you are hitting 100 caps. Over the last six to eight years he has been an important figure and we hope there are a lot more days to come."
