Duff: Has family to consider
Burnley full-back Michael Duff has spoken of his frustration at his stalling Northern Ireland career.
Duff, who has been in fine form for the Clarets this season, was left out of Nigel Worthington's squad for the midweek World Cup qualifier against San Marino.
Northern Ireland ran out comfortable 3-0 winners in that game but Duff has hinted that he is considering his international options.
"I spoke to Nigel and said that as I have a young family and at the age I am now, I would rather not travel if I was not going to be involved," said Duff.
"In my last couple of games I sat in the stand, which I do not want to do as it is a lot of time away from home.
"I have not written off playing for them again but it is his decision and I know if I am not playing well for Burnley I will never be picked."
Meanwhile, George McCartney will definitely miss Northern Ireland's World Cup qualifier with Poland next month after picking up a booking against San Marino.
Worthington questioned the decision but has been rebuffed by the Irish Football Association who confirmed that yellow cards cannot be rescinded.
McCartney now joins Rangers duo Steven Davis and Kyle Lafferty on the suspension list for the crucial qualifier.
