Manchester City striker Valeri Bojinov has been recalled to the Bulgaria squad for their World Cup qualifiers with Republic of Ireland and Cyrpus.

The striker is now back to fitness after over six months on the sidelines with a serious knee injury.

He is joined in the squad by Aston Villa midfielder Stiliyan Petrov and Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov.

Former Charlton man Radostin Kishishev returns to the squad for the first time since 2007.

Bulgaria coach Stanimir Stoilov has also recalled Croatian-born defender Igor Tomasic after he came out of retirement earlier this year.

Bulgaria tackle Republic of Ireland at Croke Park on 28th March before taking on Cyprus four days later.
