Miroslav Klose is a doubt for Germany's friendly with Ivory Coast next week after being quarantined as a result of his twins coming down with swine flu.

The Bayern Munich man did not join up with the rest of the German squad ahead of the match with Chile - which has now been called off as a result of the death of Hannover goalkeeper Robert Enke - because of the virus.

The striker and his wife, Sylwia, are being monitored to see if they show signs they have contracted the illness.

Klose could still join up with national squad but it remains unclear what will happen.

Bayern Munich media director Markus Hoerwick stated: "We have to wait and see how the situation develops."
