Belgium coach Dick Advocaat has warned Marouane Fellaini his international future could be in doubt following a dispute between the pair.

Advocaat has not forgotten Fellaini's decision to pull out of a World Cup qualifier against Estonia last month to keep a dental appointment and believes the Everton man is a disruptive influence on the squad.

Fellaini opted to have surgery on a wisdom tooth that had troubled him for months rather than take on the Estonians, a decision that prompted the Belgian FA to unsuccessfully attempt to invoke Fifa's five-day ruling on Everton and prevent Fellaini from playing in the club's next match.

Advocaat ,speaking ahead of this weekend's friendly with Hungary, has suggested Fellaini may not figure in his plans because of his controversial withdrawal.

"I still think it was very strange for him to make an appointment like that, and miss a World Cup game, because it was a very important week for Belgium," he said.

"That is still clear in my mind, and I will remember it. Fellaini did not do a good thing for me. Sometimes, these things can happen in football but, in my opinion, it was not appropriate conduct for a player with a national team.

"It seems to me that there are one or two players in the squad who place themselves above the rest, and I am working to put that right."
