The Republic of Ireland will face Brazil in a glamour friendly at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium on 2nd March.

International sports event promoter Kentaro has confirmed the Gunners' home ground will be used for the game, which was announced late last year.

Brazil will use the game as part of their preparations for this summer's World Cup finals and they have previously played at the Emirates against the likes of Italy and Potugal in recent years.

The last time the two sides met Brazil ran out 1-0 winners at Croke Park courtesy of Manchester City star Robinho's strike.

The fixture is something of a coup for Ireland, who will also face Argentina at the Aviva Stadium - the newly-revamped Lansdowne Road - on 11th August.
