Capello: USA friendly
England will play host to the United States in a friendly at Wembley on 28th May.
It will be only the USA's second trip to face England this side of the Atlantic, the first being in 1994 when Alan Shearer's double secured a 2-0 victory.
The match will give Fabio Capello a further opportunity to assess his squad ahead of the first World Cup qualifier against Andorra on 6th September.
USA head coach Bob Bradley said: "We have consistently said that one of our goals is to play matches against good opponents and in environments that will really challenge our team.
"In addition to the quality of the English team, the tradition and passion for the sport in that country, the media focus, and the intensity of the fans all combine to make this a fantastic opportunity for our group."
He continued on the United States Soccer Federation website: "We are very pleased with the schedule we have put together to help us prepare for World Cup qualifying."
The USA have also announced that they will also face Spain in Santander on 4th June.
