Platini: Yet to decide
Uefa president Michel Platini insists he is yet to decide where his 2018 World Cup vote will go.
Support from European football's supremo will be key to any country hoping to win hosting rights.
At the moment, England are competing with Russia and joint bids from Spain/Portugal and Holland/Belgium to stage the tournament.
Platini admits it is looking increasingly likely that the World Cup will be returning to Europe in 2018, but has refused to reveal who he will be backing.
He said: "I do not know which way I am voting yet. My job was to get it to come to Europe and we have just about achieved that.
"I know that all four bids will be good, I know I will have to choose sooner or later but at the moment I do not know."
Fifa's inspection committee has recently visited England, as part of its tour of all potential host nations, but Platini has warned the hopefuls that politics plays a bigger part in proceedings than they may think.
He added: "It's not easy, you have 24 people and you need to have supporters, it was like that in 1998 with France and it's always like that.
"Look at France against Turkey in the [Uefa] vote for Euro 2016, they had the best dossier, the best presentation, the president of Uefa is French and it was still only 7-6! You never know what will happen."
Platini added that he expected the USA to withdraw from the race for 2018 and join Australia, Qatar, Japan and South Korea in bidding for 2022 alone.
