Ancelotti: Committed to Chelsea
Carlo Ancelotti has ruled out the possibility of becoming Italy manager in the near future as he concentrates on building a legacy at Chelsea.
The Azzurri fell at the first hurdle at this summer's World Cup as they were eliminated without winning a single group game.
Cesare Prandelli has since taken charge of the team from Marcello Lippi and will be looking to embark on a successful qualification campaign for Euro 2012.
Ancelotti has been tipped to take on the role one day, especially after enhancing his reputation with a Double-winning first season at Stamford Bridge.
However, the former AC Milan manager has no intention of leaving the Blues any time soon and does not believe it would be helpful to Prandelli to comment too much on the situation.
Ancelotti has instead given his support to the new man, backing Prandelli to enjoy great success during a long tenure.
"I want to open up a cycle with Chelsea, and then we will see," he told RaiUno.
"I hope Cesare Prandelli stays with Italy for 20 years. According to statistics Italy win the World Cup once every 24 years which means we will win again in 2030.
"But I hope they can win it before then."
Ancelotti maintains that he loves plying his trade as a Premier League manager, even if it has been a challenge to become fluent in the language.
He explained: "I like being in England. Italy is always close and I still feel 100 per cent Italian but I am living a wonderful adventure.
"I love English football, the environment and the atmosphere.
"The English language? It is pretty good although I still struggle to hear, but with the players it is going well and I'm still studying. I'll improve."
