Italy wait on Northern Irish trip

FIGC seeking information following bomb blast

The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) is seeking further information with regards to their Euro 2012 qualifier in Northern Ireland on Friday.

The Italians are due to play in Belfast, but the fixture is now under review following a bomb blast in Londonderry on Tuesday.

The Azzurri are currently training at Coverciano, but are due to travel to Northern Ireland on Thursday.

Italy coach Cesare Prandelli is now waiting for information from the FIGC and said: "The federation is asking for information and will let us know.

"We heard the news but we are trying to understand what the situation is.

"We are calm, although we were calmer yesterday."
