Hitman at home

Ricky Hatton has arrived in Las Vegas.

The Hitman touched down in the Nevada desert overnight on Thursday to acclimatise for his showdown with Floyd Mayweather on December 8th.

Undefeated is still more than a fortnight away and this is the earliest he has crossed the Atlantic ahead of a bout.

But this will be his third stay in the fight capital of the world and Hatton is taking no chances ahead of the biggest fight of his life.

Having picked up a cold when staying in a hotel ahead of his Vegas debut against Juan Urango January, he is hiring a house along with brother Matthew and Phoenix Gym colleague Matthew Macklin.

They have their own chef in place and says Hatton, there are no concerns over homesickness - even this early before a fight.

"The house I am staying in is superb," he told skysports.com. "I am sharing it with our Matthew, and Matthew Macklin.

"We have settled in and we have our meals made for us by a chef called Rick funnily enough.

"He knows just what we need so it's already like a home away from home."

Billy Graham meanwhile is already in place at the MGM Grand, while Hatton's father and manager Ray flies out next week.

Mum Carol and the rest of the Hitman's family and friends will follow the week before the fight.
