Megson: Nolan support
Kevin Nolan insists Bolton should stick with manager Gary Megson, even if they are relegated from the Premier League.
The Trotters have climbed out of the bottom three, but are only one point clear of danger with just two games of the season remaining.
Megson was brought in following the ill-fated and brief reign of Sammy Lee, who failed to build on the previous successes of Sam Allardyce.
If has been a season of struggle for the Reebok Stadium outfit, but midfielder Nolan does not want to see any more changes at the helm.
He told the Daily Mirror: "Gary is someone who's come in and worked hard. He has the same qualities I saw in Sam Allardyce. I see a lot of what Gary's doing the same as what Sam did.
"I am still delighted with the appointment. He can take us further, keep us in the Premier League and take us to where we belong.
"You don't want to become an unstable club and if we keep sacking managers and bringing someone else in, we could go that way. And there's only one place we're going if that happens - and that's down.
"We got to be able to stick with the managers, like we used to, because this club over the last seven or eight years has been one of the stable in the Premier League.
"It has been a big shock to the system what has happened in the last year and we've just got to make sure we give this manager the time and all the support he needs."
