Redknapp: Happy to stay

Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has laughed off suggestions he could leave the club following the FA Cup final.

It had been audaciously suggested the former West Ham boss could call time on his Fratton Park tenure following the club's clash with Cardiff City at Wembley.

When asked by Sky Sports News if Redknapp was considering walking away from the South Coast side he replied: "Never. Never ever. No, not at all.

"What am I going to do with my time? What would I do with my life?

"I love it. I enjoy coming to work here every day. The people I work with and for. The owner's been brilliant. The players are great.

My life

"This is my life. This is what I enjoy doing. I look forward to coming here every day. I don't know what I'd do without it."

Redknapp believes he has constructed a side capable of challenging for a top-half position in the Premier League, and is proud of his work.

"I've built a team here. I'm proud of what we're doing here," he continued.

"Next year you want to be up in that top half again. Being in the top half of the Premier League in itself is a fantastic achievement for any club - apart from the top four.

"We've done it the last two years and we want to be in the top half and as high as we can next year. There's so much to look forward to. I wouldn't be walking away from that."
