Thomas: One-year contract
Jerome Thomas' loan move from Charlton to Portsmouth has been made permanent.
The winger has signed a one-year contract with the FA Cup holders, with Pompey due to pay the Addicks a small fee should the player make a specified number of appearances.
Having agreed to take the 25-year-old on a full-time basis Harry Redknapp is now free to bring in another loan signing, should he wish to do so.
Premier League clubs are allowed two loanees at any one time, and Pompey have already taken Ben Sahar on a season-long agreement from Chelsea.
The Blues' chief executive Peter Storrie confirmed that a deal had been struck for former England U21 international Thomas, allowing the club to explore other options.
He said: "It's a simple conversion from a loan deal to a permanent contract for a year. It frees up a loan space.
"Jerome could have been recalled by Charlton in January under the terms of his loan, but that's no longer a factor now his deal has been made permanent."
