Maloney: Celtic talks
Sky Sports News understands Aston Villa's Shaun Maloney is in Glasgow holding talks with Celtic over a possible return to Parkhead.
Maloney is believed to be interested in a move back to Scotland after failing to settle in England.
The Scottish international, who left Celtic to join Villa in January 2007, has struggled to hold down a regular place in Martin O'Neill's side.
The player's agent last week claimed three clubs were interested in signing Maloney, but Celtic are hoping to steal a march on their rivals by luring the 25-year-old back to Glasgow.
Celtic boss Gordon Strachan is a big admirer of Maloney and is believed to be keen on having him back at the club.
The Scottish champions will be hoping to agree a deal with Maloney quickly to ward off interest from other clubs.
