Quotes of the week
Ben Westwood has signed a two-year contract extension with Warrington that ties him to the club until the end of the 2011 season.
The England international second rower, 27, had been linked with a move to rival Super League outfits after an impressive run of form.
But his decision to put pen-to-paper on a new deal with the Wolves puts an end to that speculation.
"I'm going nowhere," he confirmed. "I'm pleased everything is done and dusted and I've committed my future to the Wolves.
"I'm settled here. The fans have been great with me and I'm looking forward to winning honours in the shirt in the not too distant future.
"Obviously I had another year to run on my contract but I wanted to get a new deal sorted as quick as possible."
Westwood, signed originally as a centre in a £60,000 deal from Wakefield in 2002, was Warrington's player of the year last season and has missed only one match this year.
Wolves coach James Lowes said: "Ben's an important part of our pack. His form, certainly while I've been here, has warranted him getting an extra two years with us."
