Andrews: Blackburn medical
Milton Keynes Dons captain Keith Andrews is undergoing a medical at Blackburn ahead of a proposed move to Ewood Park.
The midfielder was named the League Two Player of the Year last season after inspiring the Dons to promotion.
He requested a transfer early in the summer after Paul Ince left the club to take charge of Blackburn.
Andrews has been linked with a switch to Rovers for the last couple of months, while a number of Championship sides were also thought to be interested.
It looked as though Andrews could stay at MK Dons after he was taken off the transfer list but Roberto Di Matteo has not included him in recent games.
A club statement read: "While disappointed to lose our club captain, we
understand that the chance for Keith to test himself in the greatest league in
the world is too good to ignore.
"We wish Keith every success in his future career and he will always be
welcomed back to stadium:mk - either as a player or a friend of the club."
The 27-year-old now looks set to join Blackburn before the close of the transfer window as Ince looks to put the finishing touches to his squad.
