Buffon: Laughs off link
Gianluigi Buffon has dismissed suggestions he could leave Juventus to join Manchester City.
The Abu Dhabi United Group's imminent takeover at City has seen the Premier League club linked with a string of football's biggest names.
City have already splashed out a British transfer record fee to snatch Brazilian striker Robinho from under the noses of Chelsea.
Reports have now claimed that City boss Mark Hughes will be given the funds to launch a £60million bid for Buffon in January.
Buffon is already the world's most expensive keeper after joining Juventus from Parma seven years ago in a £31million deal.
However, the 30-year-old has brushed off rumours he could sign for City in a transfer worth almost double the amount Juventus paid to Parma.
"It's a journalist's fantasy," said Buffon.
"If an offer like that one arrived, I believe Juve would look at the numbers. But I doubt it would ever arrive."
