Fowler: Set to seal move
Blackburn have agreed a pay-as-you-play deal with former England striker Robbie Fowler.
The 33-year-old has been training with Rovers all summer after he departed Championship side Cardiff.
A deal had stalled when Fowler asked for a permanent contract, with Rovers only willing to do a short-term move.
Fowler had considered other options, including a possible move to Norway, but he has now accepted the temporary terms on offer at Ewood Park.
"We have agreed in principle a three-month pay-as-you-play deal and we hope to have it tied up by the end of the week," said Blackburn chairman John Williams.
"If we go ahead on that basis and get it registered then if the manager wants him he would be able to be in the squad against Arsenal on Saturday."
