Ayr have been forced to cancel Friday's Rockingham Stakes meeting after heavy rain left the track waterlogged.
Clerk of the course Katherine Self held an early morning on Wednesday - and ruled that with more rain expected on Thursday and Friday, racing could not go ahead.
She said: "We have had a total of 38mm of rain since 6pm on Monday night.
"The bulk of that was during the day on Tuesday and parts of the track are still waterlogged.
"Although the forecast is for dry weather today, another band of rain is set to move in on Thursday and Friday.
"The aim of abandoning early is to give everyone as much chance as possible to declare elsewhere."
