Ashley: Keen to sell
The man charged with finding a buyer for Newcastle United is confident of creating interest in the club.
Keith Harris, chairman of Seymour Pierce, is the former chairman of the Football League.
However, he has been appointed by Newcastle owner Mike Ashley to find a suitable buyer for the North East outfit.
Ashley is keen to rid himself of the troubled Premier League side after bearing the brunt of supporter anger following Kevin Keegan's resignation in September.
There is believed to be interest from abroad, with consortiums from Nigeria and South Africa thought to be keen on the Magpies.
With the signs seemingly favourable for Harris, he admits he does not expect to have too much trouble identifying interested parties.
He told Five Live: "I'm quietly confident there'll be a good solution for Mike and the fans.
"In his time of owning it, Mike has cleaned up the balance sheets and Newcastle is one of the few clubs that has no debt whatsoever, so that makes it very attractive to an incoming owner."
