Dennis: Confident
McLaren boss Ron Dennis insists Lewis Hamilton will bounce back from his disappointment at the Japanese Grand Prix.
Hamilton saw his world championship lead cut to just five points with five races remaining after the British driver failed to finish in the points at Fuji Speedway circuit.
The 23-year-old spun after a second-lap tussle with title rival Felipe Massa - and never fully recovered.
However Dennis is confident that his young charge can close in on the title at the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai.
"All in all, as far as the championship is concerned, I guess things could have been worse," he said.
"But there is no getting away from the fact it was a disappointing weekend.
"However, Lewis is still five points clear in the drivers' championship with two races to go. I know that our whole team will dig deep from here on in.
"The fact is he (Hamilton) is a great driver, we will fight for the world championship but sometimes it is a bit of an uphill struggle."
