Ya: In-demand
Rosenborg playmaker Didier Konan Ya has revealed that he is close to clinching a move to England.
The Ivory Coast international is in the final year of his contract in Norway and is hoping to be awarded the opportunity to fulfil his dream of playing in the Premier League.
He is adamant that he can adapt to life in one of Europe's top divisions, with a number of his countryman having already paved the way for his arrival.
"My dream will soon be realised," the midfielder told skysports.com.
"I have been in contact with some Premiership clubs and my representatives in England are working hard.
"I have proven myself in the Norwegian league, I have played in the Champions league, and I am now ready for the Premiership.
"I have a lot of friends there and I am looking forward to it. Kolo (Toure), (Emmanuel) Eboue, (Salomon) Kalou and (Didier) Zokora have already made an impact in England.
"We all had the same coaches at the Ivory Coast academy, so I am sure I can be a success also."
Reports suggest Middlesbrough and Stoke are two of the sides currently tracking Ya's progress.
