Sherwood: Coaching role
Tim Sherwood has confirmed to Sky Sports News that he will be joining Tottenham's coaching team 'in some capacity'.
Harry Redknapp was only appointed as Spurs manager last Saturday but he has been quick to bring in his own team.
Kevin Bond was given a role on Monday and former Spurs midfielder Sherwood has now revealed that he will taking up a position following talks with Redknapp.
"It is a great opportunity. It is a fantastic football club," Sherwood told Sky Sports News.
"If anybody had asked me how I wanted to get back into football, it would be with Tottenham and working for Harry Redknapp."
Tottenham are currently bottom of the Premier League but they have made a bright start to life under Redknapp and Sherwood is optimistic about what the future may hold.
"It has not been going great but Harry is trying to put that right," said Sherwood.
"We have had two games and two very positive results. Long may it continue because Spurs should not be at that end of the table?
"I will be here in some capacity and I want to help this club in whatever why I can to get out of the mess they are in."
